Cancun Airport to Puerto Aventuras Transfer: From $90 Per Vehicle (2026)

Cancun Airport to Puerto Aventuras by private transfer: from $90 USD per vehicle one way, which hotels share the zone, how the gated entrance works, and what the group van costs.

A private transfer from Cancun Airport to Puerto Aventuras starts at $90 USD per vehicle, one way, for 1 to 6 passengers. That figure comes from our own published rate table, checked on October 7, 2026, and it covers Xpu-Ha and the Barceló Maya complex too. The ride is Highway 307 the whole way, with no tolls, and usually takes a little over an hour.

What It Costs

GroupVehicle price, one wayPer person
2 passengers$90$45.00
4 passengers$90$22.50
6 passengers$90$15.00
7 passengers$95$13.57
9 to 16 passengers (Sprinter van)$225$14.06 to $25.00

The rate is per vehicle, so it doesn’t change with the number of bags or the season. Round trips and groups of 8 are calculated in the quote tool.

Which Hotels Fall in This Zone

Our $90 zone is wider than the marina town. It runs along the stretch of coast between Playa del Carmen and Akumal, and it includes three places people book under different names.

AreaWhat’s there
Puerto AventurasThe gated marina community, condos, vacation rentals and the hotels around the marina
Xpu-HaThe beach south of the marina and the resorts along it
Barceló MayaThe large resort complex with its own entrance on the highway

For comparison, the zone to the north (Playa del Carmen, Playacar and Mayakoba) starts at $69, and the next one south (Akumal) starts at $105. If you aren’t sure where your hotel sits, type its name into the quote tool and it places you in the right zone.

The Drive

From the airport the driver heads south on Highway 307 and stays on it. You pass Puerto Morelos and then Playa del Carmen, and the marina entrance comes up at roughly kilometer 269 of the highway. It’s a free federal road from start to finish, so nobody should add a toll to this fare.

Plan on about an hour and ten minutes. The part that moves the number is Playa del Carmen, where late afternoon traffic is slower than midday, and heavy rain, which slows the whole corridor for a while.

The Gate: What Happens at the Entrance

Puerto Aventuras is a residential and resort community with controlled access. There’s a security booth at the entrance, and vehicles are asked where they’re going. This is the step that trips up ride arrangements made at the curb.

Give us the exact name of the building, condo or hotel when you book, and the name the reservation is under if it’s a rental. With that, the stop at the gate is a few seconds. “A condo near the marina” is the answer that turns it into ten minutes.

Barceló Maya works differently. It has its own signed entrance directly on the highway, and inside it’s a set of connected hotels. Tell us which one (Beach, Caribe, Colonial, Tropical, Palace or Riviera) so the driver takes you to the right lobby.

Good to Know Before You Go

Puerto Aventuras is built around its marina, with restaurants on the docks and calm, protected water. It’s quieter than Playa del Carmen and sits about midway between Playa and Tulum, which makes it a practical base for both.

On seaweed, the community has taken its own measures. Property owners voted this year for an offshore sargassum barrier, and work on a 900 meter barrier was reported in April. 2026 was a heavy year along the whole coast, so check the sargassum guide before you set expectations for the beach.

You’ll want a ride for most outings. The cenotes and Akumal’s turtles are a short drive south, and 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen is a short drive north.
