Cancun Airport to Mayakoba Transfer: From $69 Per Vehicle (2026)

Cancun Airport to Mayakoba by private transfer: from $69 USD per vehicle one way for Rosewood, Banyan Tree, Fairmont and Andaz. What the gate asks, how long it takes, and what to book for tournament week.

A private transfer from Cancun Airport to Mayakoba starts at $69 USD per vehicle, one way, for 1 to 6 passengers. The rate is the same for all four resorts inside the complex, Rosewood, Banyan Tree, Fairmont and Andaz, because Mayakoba shares a zone with Playa del Carmen in our published rate table. We checked that table on October 7, 2026. The drive runs about 40 to 45 minutes on Highway 307 with no tolls.

What It Costs

GroupVehicle price, one wayPer person
2 passengers$69$34.50
4 passengers$69$17.25
6 passengers$69$11.50
7 passengers$72$10.29
9 to 16 passengers (Sprinter van)$149$9.31 to $16.56

It’s a price per vehicle. There’s no per bag charge, and the rate doesn’t rise at Christmas, Spring Break or tournament week. Round trips are calculated in the quote tool.

A note for anyone comparing with what a resort concierge quotes. Hotel-arranged cars at this level are usually priced as a luxury service. Ours is a private vehicle at a published rate. Both get you to the same lobby, and it’s worth knowing the difference before you choose.

One Complex, Four Resorts

Mayakoba isn’t a town. It’s a gated resort development north of Playa del Carmen, built around lagoons, mangrove and a golf course, with a single main entrance on the highway.

ResortFrom Cancun Airport (1 to 6 passengers)
Rosewood Mayakoba$69
Banyan Tree Mayakoba$69
Fairmont Mayakoba$69
Andaz Mayakoba$69

Tell us which of the four you’re staying at when you book. Each has its own lobby, and they’re far enough apart inside the property that guests move between them by cart or boat.

The Drive and the Gate

From the airport the driver takes Highway 307 south, passes Puerto Morelos and reaches the Mayakoba entrance before Playa del Carmen. That matters for timing. You turn off before the city traffic, so this route is more predictable than a ride into Playa itself.

At the main gate, security checks the vehicle against the day’s arrivals. Have the name on the hotel reservation ready, exactly as it was booked. If a travel agent or a colleague made the reservation, tell us the name it’s under. That’s the one thing that slows this arrival down.

From the gate it’s a few more minutes on the internal road to your lobby. The road is slow and winding on purpose, and it’s part of why the place feels the way it does.

If You’re Coming for Golf

El Camaleón, the course inside Mayakoba, hosts the LPGA’s Riviera Maya Open. The 2026 edition ran from April 30 to May 3 with a $2.5 million purse, and Nelly Korda won it at 17 under par.

Two practical points follow from that. Golf bags travel at no extra charge, but tell us how many you’re bringing so we send a vehicle with the space. And during tournament week the area fills up, so book the transfer when you book the room.

Getting Out of the Resort

Mayakoba is self-contained, and plenty of guests never leave. If you do, Playa del Carmen is the closest town. 5th Avenue is a short drive south, and the ferry to Cozumel leaves from the same area (here’s how that crossing works).

For rides that don’t start or end at the airport, such as a dinner in Playa or a day at Xcaret, there’s no published rate. Send us the date, the resort and the group size on WhatsApp and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
