A Cancun Airport group transfer for 9 to 16 passengers starts at $75 USD for the whole van, one way, to the Hotel Zone or downtown. That’s a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with one driver, and with 16 people on board it works out to $4.69 each. Below is the full van rate for every destination in our published table, checked on October 7, 2026. We’ve also done the math most companies skip, which is when two smaller vehicles cost less than one van.

One Van or Two Vehicles? The Honest Math

Our standard private vehicle carries 1 to 6 passengers. So a group of 9 to 12 has a choice: one Sprinter, or two standard vehicles. We’d rather show you both numbers than have you find out later.
| Destination | One Sprinter | Two vehicles (up to 12) | Three vehicles (up to 18) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hotel Zone and downtown | $75 | $64 | $96 |
| Puerto Morelos | $103 | $104 | $156 |
| Playa Mujeres | $113 | $120 | $180 |
| Playa del Carmen and Mayakoba | $149 | $138 | $207 |
| Puerto Aventuras | $225 | $180 | $270 |
| Akumal | $270 | $210 | $315 |
| Tulum town | $300 | $250 | $375 |
| Chiquilá (Holbox ferry) | $800 | $480 | $720 |
Here’s how to read it. With 13 to 16 people, the van is the cheaper option on every route except Chiquilá. With 9 to 12 people, two vehicles cost about the same on the short routes and less on the long ones.
Price isn’t the only factor, though. Three things decide it in practice.
Are you landing together? If the group arrives on one flight, a single van means one meeting point and one departure. If you’re on two or three flights hours apart, separate vehicles mean nobody waits at the airport for the last arrival.
How much luggage? Sixteen people with a checked bag each is a lot of volume, and golf bags or dive gear change the picture. Tell us the real bag count and we’ll say which setup fits.
Do you want to arrive as one group? For a wedding party, a team or a family reunion, pulling up together is often the point. That’s what the van is for.
Groups Larger Than 16
One Sprinter seats up to 16. For 17 or more, we combine vehicles: two vans, or a van plus a standard vehicle. There’s no published rate for combinations, so send the headcount, flight details and hotel on WhatsApp and we’ll reply with one fixed total.
For 7 passengers there’s a separate published rate, from $35 to the Hotel Zone. A group of 8 is calculated in the quote tool.

What We Need From You to Make It Smooth
Group arrivals go wrong in predictable ways, and nearly all of them are solved before the flight leaves.
Every flight number. The driver follows the real arrival time, so a delay moves the pickup on its own. That only works if we have the right flight for each part of the group.
One contact person. Pick someone who’ll have a working phone on landing. Sixteen people each messaging the driver is how groups lose twenty minutes.
The exact drop-off. Send the hotel name, and for villas or gated communities, the reservation name the gate will ask for. If the group is split across two hotels in the same zone, say so when you book.
The return date. Groups that book the airport run both ways get the pickup time set against the departure flight, with the three hours an international check-in needs already counted.

If the group is traveling for work, our corporate transportation page covers fixed pricing and coordination for company groups. For the full list of rates at every group size, see the price page.
